The North Sioux City Trail connects the Military Road bridge to Adams Homestead. It provides a place to run off the road. The trail is made of concrete. There are frequent road crossings on this route.

Note: As of Feb 2025, part of the trail is missing near McCook Lake due to summer 2024 flooding.
