About Hillview

Hillview Recreation Area is located just west of Hinton and 10 miles north of Sioux City. Hillview is managed by the Plymouth County Conservation board. Hillview has open and wooded areas with scenic views of the Loess Hills. The trails are mostly mowed paths with some double track and single track trail mixed in. The trails are generally hilly. There are two parking areas. The north entrance is off Wren Rd and the south entrance is off Highway C60.
